Associate - Landscape Architect

AECOMs Urbanism Planning studio is currentlyseeking Associate Landscape Architects to join our dynamic team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our landscapearchitecture department you will contribute to the design and ofdiverse projects that shape the urban and natural environments ofthe region. The Associate Landscape Architectwill becharged with developing and overseeing landscape design conceptsfor a variety of projects including urban parks residentialcommunities and commercialdevelopments. Responsibilities: Developand oversee landscape design concepts for a variety of projectsincluding urban parks residential communities and commercialdevelopments Collaborate with multidisciplinaryteams to integrate landscape elements with architectural andengineering designs Conduct site analyses andprepare detailed site plans planting plans and constructiondocuments Manage project timelines budgets andresources to ensure successful delivery of landscapeprojects Participate in client meetings andpresentations to communicate design concepts and solutionseffectively Stay updated on sustainable designpractices and incorporate them into landscapeprojects Mentor junior team members andcontribute to the overall growth of the landscape architecturedepartment Ensure compliance with localregulations and design standards in the UAE and GCC wideprojects Utilize advanced designsoftware to create visually compelling and technically accuratelandscape plans Lead client interface andmanage projects contractual requirements. Driveand conduct site opportunity and constraint studies for projectspresent proposals internally and externally and derive design ideasfor implementation and furtherconsideration. Lead landscape architectureproject deliverables with applicable landscape architectureauthorities and client requirements. Able todevelop new landscape architecture and building typologiesapplicable to projects and sites withconditions. Narrate landscape architectureideas clearly through literature in reports and presentations andguide/mentor direct reports in effective reportwriting. Bridge between delivering design ideasand delivering to budget. Understand clientobjectives and steer design thinkingaccordingly. Actively engage in promotinginnovative landscape architecture attributes and influence peersand reports. Promote using innovative digitaltools in landscape architecture projects and engage in internalresearch and development. Identify newpotential areas of innovation and improvement in design ideationand presentation from which the landscape architecture team canbenefit. Manage coordinate and deliverlandscape architecture bids and proposals while tailoring technicalapproaches methodologies and delivery structures. Prepare andcoordinate the commercial aspects of bids in accordance withprojectexpectations. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from an accreditedinstitution Minimum of 12 years of experiencein landscape architecture Professionalcertificate Proficiency in Auto CAD Adobe Creative Suite and 3D modeling software Workingknowledge of Arc GIS Revit or other relevant designtools Excellent understanding of sustainabledesign practices and their application in aridclimates Familiarity with local floraenvironmental conditions and design regulations in the UAE Proven project management skills includingbudget control and timelinemanagement Ability to workcollaboratively in a fastpaced multiculturalenvironment Strong analytical andproblemsolving skills with attention todetail Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is aplus Allapplications should include uploadedportfolios Additional Information : About AECOM AECOM is the worlds trustedinfrastructure consulting firm delivering professional servicesthroughout the project lifecycle from advisory planning design andengineering to program and construction management.
