Senior Trader

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Crude Oil Trader to lead and expand our global crude oil trading operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale trades, deep understanding of global markets (including arbitrage), and an extensive international network. This role will play a critical part in our commercial growth strategy, both upstream and downstream. Key Responsibilities • Manage end-to-end crude oil trading activities, including physical and paper transactions (hedging, swaps, etc.) • Source, negotiate, and close deals with producers, refineries, national oil companies (NOCs), and trading houses • Monitor and analyze global market trends, price movements, geopolitical events, and supply-demand fundamentals • Identify and pursue arbitrage opportunities across regions (e.g., WAF, AG, Med, Asia, Americas) • Lead contractual negotiations including Incoterms, pricing mechanisms, payment terms, and lifting programs • Build and maintain a robust network of counterparties and brokers across multiple jurisdictions • Coordinate closely with operations, finance, risk, shipping, and legal teams to ensure seamless execution of trades • Ensure full compliance with internal risk policies, sanctions, and international trade regulations • Mentor junior traders and contribute to the development of trading strategies and tools • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is an asset • Minimum 10+ years of experience in physical crude oil trading, with at least 5 years in an international setting • Strong knowledge of Brent, WTI, Dubai, and regional crude grades, pricing benchmarks, and blending strategies • Demonstrated experience working with NOCs, IOCs, and large refineries • Excellent understanding of freight economics and logistics (Aframax, VLCC, FOB/CIF terms) • Strong quantitative, analytical, and negotiation skills • Fluent in English; other languages (e.g., Arabic, Spanish, Mandarin) are a plus • Willingness to travel and relocate if required Preferred Traits • High commercial acumen with entrepreneurial mindset • Strong network across EMEA, Asia, and the Americas • Ability to work under pressure and manage multi-million-dollar trades independently • Integrity, discretion, and a disciplined approach to risk AVAILABE WITHIN ONE MONTH MAXIMUM #J-18808-Ljbffr
