Risk Manager Non-disclosed Dubai, United Arab Emirates The Risk Manager will lead the identification, measurement, monitoring, and control of risks associated with the company's UAE entity activities in line with approved policies. Responsibilities include implementing and developing the risk management framework, endorsing mitigation strategies, and ensuring acceptable risk parameters and thresholds for UAE operations. The role involves embedding risk management into all processes and functions within the UAE operations. This position is part of the second line of defense, responsible for governance, oversight, development, and management of applicable risks in the UAE, reporting to the Head of Risk Management. The Risk Manager should have a thorough understanding of the products and business processes, familiarity with financial and operational risk management practices, and knowledge of Central Bank of UAE regulatory requirements. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders at various levels is essential. Education/Certifications: Degree from a university at bachelor level or higher Professional Qualification Experience: At least 8 years of practical experience in the financial services sector, with a minimum of 4 years in a risk management role, preferably within the UAE Practical experience with risk and control assessment frameworks, tools, and methodologies applied to business processes, applications, technology infrastructure, and third parties Knowledge/Skills/Attributes: Understanding of the financial services sector and its regulatory environment Knowledge of relevant local statutory and regulatory requirements Deep knowledge of risk management principles and best practices Strong time-management skills, self-motivation, leadership, people management, relationship-building skills, and experience leading critical projects #J-18808-Ljbffr
