You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for newborns, from initial assessment to ongoing treatment and follow-up care. Your expertise and compassion will play a crucial role in promoting the health and well-being of these delicate patients and their families.Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide specialized medical care for newborns with a range of conditions, from prematurity to congenital abnormalities and other medical, surgical and behavioral disorders. Evaluate and manage the medical needs of neonates in the intensive care unit, including ventilator support, nutrition, and medication management. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, nurses, and social workers, to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for neonates. Educate parents and families on their child's condition, treatment options and potential outcomes, and provide emotional support and guidance throughout their baby's hospitalization. Keep thorough and accurate medical records, including progress notes, orders, and discharge summaries. Stay up-to-date with the latest research, techniques, and protocols in neonatal medicine and incorporate them into your practice for optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications Medical degree from an accredited medical school and successful completion of a Neonatology fellowship program. Current Board Certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Valid state medical license and DEA registration. Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Neonatologist in a hospital setting. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
