We are looking to onboard a highly skilled CTD MWD Field Specialist to support real-time data acquisition, tool management, and directional control during coiled tubing drilling operations. This role is critical to the success of a newly awarded project involving advanced 3D well placement, where precision, reliability, and seamless execution are essential. Key Responsibilities Deploy and operate MWD tools integrated with Coiled Tubing Drilling BHAs, ensuring optimal data acquisition and directional guidance. Perform real-time data monitoring, gamma and directional logging, and toolface control to support directional driller execution. Validate and calibrate MWD sensors before deployment and verify tool readiness during pre-job checks. Monitor telemetry and downhole signal quality, troubleshoot tool failures, and ensure uninterrupted data flow to surface. Work closely with directional drillers, CTD supervisors, and surface systems to align on drilling parameters and adjustments. Generate accurate and timely field reports, including surveys, tool run records, and end-of-well documentation. Participate in rig-up/rig-down, system integration testing, and communication checks with surface units. Maintain strict adherence to company HSE policies and participate in safety briefings, audits, and incident reporting protocols. Provide on-site support to the client and ensure service quality meets or exceeds expectations. Work Experience Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education on a case-by-case basis. Required skills include a strong understanding of MWD tool physics, sensor placement, telemetry systems (e.g., positive pulse, EM, or wired pipe), +7 years of MWD field experience with at least 2 years in Coiled Tubing Drilling environments, experience with downhole logging tools compatible with CTD operations, familiarity with directional drilling workflows, and proficiency with MWD software platforms. Experience in horizontal, deviated, or multilateral wellbores is an asset.
