Job Description: Planning Engineer Location: Dubai, UAE Parsons is seeking a talented Planning Engineer to join our team for a major infrastructure project (community development). The role involves planning, scheduling, and project control functions. What You'll Be Doing: Review and approve the Contractor’s Baseline schedule in line with contract conditions and Parsons practices. Validate project resources for timely completion. Develop a Master Schedule considering interdependencies among project packages. Evaluate and verify updated schedules, identify delays, and suggest mitigation measures. Perform “What if” analyses to assess impacts of changes and provide alternatives. Prepare progress reports and presentations on project milestones. Assess claims related to delays, disruptions, using delay analysis methodologies. Coordinate with contractors and clients to resolve scheduling issues. Attend meetings, prepare minutes, and monitor critical project issues. Establish progress measurement systems and key indicators. Communicate effectively with management and professionals, and respond analytically to contractor notices. Maintain proper project records and issue delay notices when necessary. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management. Minimum 10+ years of planning and scheduling experience on infrastructure projects, preferably in the Gulf region. Experience with infrastructure and utilities, understanding of construction industry practices. Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software. Strong communication skills.
