Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician

Description POSITIONSUMMARY Respondand attend to guest repair requests. Communicate withguests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventivemaintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipmentincluding cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect toolsequipment or machines. Carry equipment (e.g. tools radio). Identifylocate and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and allutility shut-offs for buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory andrequisition parts and supplies as needed. Communicate each daysactivities and problems that occur to the other shifts usingapproved communication programs and standards. Display basicknowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the followingcategories: air conditioning and refrigeration electricalmechanical plumbing pneumatic/electronic systems and controlscarpentry and finish skills kitchen equipment vehicles energyconservation and/or general building. Perform all surfacepreparation painting minor drywall and wood trim repair light bulband A/C filter replacement and the complete and thorough cleanup ofthe painting or repair area. Test troubleshoot and perform basicrepair on all types of equipment plumbing (e.g. plunge toilets andunclog drains) electrical components including lamps cosmetic itemsextension cords vacuum cleaners internet devices replace electricalswitches and outlets and other guestroom items. Program TVs andperform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventoryduties. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing anymaintenance work. Perform repairs on interior and exteriorlandscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers. Displaybasic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules andmaking temperaturechanges. Follow all companyand safety and security policies and procedures; report anymaintenance problems safety hazards accidents or injuries; completesafety training and certifications; and properly store flammablematerials. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean andprofessional maintain confidentiality of proprietary informationand protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guestsaccording to company standards anticipate and address guestsservice needs assist individuals with disabilities and thank guestswith genuine appreciation. Adhere to quality expectations andstandards. Develop and maintain positive working relationships withothers support team to reach common goals and listen and respondappropriately to the concerns of other employees. Reachoverhead and below the knees including bending twisting pulling andstooping. Enter and locate work-related information usingcomputers. Perform other reasonable job duties asrequested. PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent. Related Work Experience: Someexperience in general maintenance exterior and interior surfacepreparation and painting. Experience in hotelengineering or maintenance a plus. Supervisory Experience: No supervisoryexperience.
