Digital Transformation! The Legal Director role at the Group entails providing expert legal counsel, drafting contracts, and ensuring compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing corporate affairs, trust law, construction law, and mergers and acquisitions. Responsibilities: • Draft and review a wide range of legal documents and contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company objectives. • Expertise in Trust law, particularly concerning offshore companies, and advise on structuring and managing trust arrangements especially in Europe • Offer comprehensive legal guidance on construction law matters, FIDIC, including contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. • Provide strategic legal advice and support to the CLO on corporate affairs, including governance, compliance, and regulatory matters. • Facilitate mergers and acquisitions by conducting due diligence, negotiating agreements, and overseeing the legal aspects of transactions to ensure favorable outcomes for the Group. • Utilize strong familiarity with the common laws of the DIFC to navigate legal complexities, resolve disputes, and ensure adherence to jurisdiction-specific regulations. • Develop and lead corporate legal strategy to promote and protect the company's matters. • Ensure all contracts, legal documents and templates are up-to-date and compliant with statutory laws. • Advise the CLO and other senior corporate officers on a variety of issues. • Identify and mitigate legal risks. Desired Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in law or related qualifications from recognized University, preferable in UK • Minimum 10+ years of experience with a proven track record of success in drafting contracts, Offshore Trust Law, Common Law, and M&A matters • Offshore Trust Law expertise, especially in Europe • Deep Knowledge of Construction Law, FIDIC • Fluency in both English and Arabic languages • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess legal risks and provide strategic advice to CLO • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multinational environment, with a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and cultural sensitivity. • Proficiency in legal research and staying updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends, particularly in the context of the DIFC and international business operations. • Strong initiative, excellent management, leadership skills and business acumen Seniority level Seniority level Director Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Legal Industries Staffing and Recruiting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Transguard Workforce Solutions by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Legal Director” roles.
