About this role: We are seeking an experienced Card Operations Architect to construct and lead our new payment solutions business. This hands-on role combines operational engineering (70%) with product input (30%), offering a rare opportunity to build critical infrastructure while influencing product direction. You'll be responsible for the technical backbone that makes transactions happen while contributing practical insights to make our product competitive in the market. What You'll Actually Do Operations Leadership (70%) o Establish and maintain working relationships with payment networks and related partners o Lead technical implementation projects with our card management processor o Coordinate between internal teams and vendors to get systems talking to each other • Technical System Setup & Management o Configure Card Management System, authorization flows, and set up related clearing and settlement modules o Manage project scope and deliverables to meet launch timelines o Create and execute thorough testing protocols that find problems before customers do • Daily Operations Oversight o Ensure cards get to customers, transactions process correctly, and systems reconcile o Build processes for accurate transaction processing and account management o Implement fraud controls and dispute resolution procedures that protect the business o Work with customer service to resolve complex customer issues efficiently Product Input (30%) · Identify technical constraints and possibilities for product features · Help design loyalty program mechanics that our systems can support · Develop operational metrics that show what's working and what needs fixing · Analyze competitor offerings to find operational advantages we can leverage You are a great fit if you have: · 5+ years' hands-on experience with payment card operations and processing systems · Technical knowledge of payment networks, authorization flows, and settlement processes · Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders · Experience building or running reconciliation processes for financial accuracy · Understanding of UAE financial regulations as they apply to payment solutions · Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions under pressure · Bachelor's degree in relevant fields with technical or financial background How We'll Measure Success · Transaction success rates and processing accuracy · System uptime and performance metrics · Regulatory compliance with zero exceptions · Vendor and processor relationship effectiveness · Operational efficiency and cost management · Implementation of quality of new features and functions Why This Role Matters · You'll build critical infrastructure that thousands of customers will depend on · You'll gain comprehensive experience across the entire payment ecosystem · Opportunity to advance as our payment solutions business grows Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Other Industries Technology, Information and Internet Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Astra Tech by 2x Get notified about new Architect jobs in Dubai, United Arab Emirates .
