Database Administrator

Installation, configuration and upgrading of MYSQL/SQL server software and related products. - Evaluate MYSQL/SQL features and MYSQL/SQL MCY products. - Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures. - Conduct database design and implementation. - Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges). - Perform database/application tuning and performance monitoring. - Create and maintain documentation and standards. - Plan growth and changes (capacity planning). - Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required. - Perform general technical troubleshooting and provide consultation to development teams. - Interface with MYSQL/SQL Corporation for technical support. - Patch Management and Version Control. - Generation of daily/monthly reports. Required Skills and Qualifications - High understanding of the MYSQL/SQL database, related utilities, and tools. - Good understanding of the underlying operating system. - High knowledge of physical database design. - My SQL/SQL certified professional. - Ability to perform both MYSQL/SQL and operating system performance tuning and monitoring. - Knowledge of ALL MYSQL/SQL backup and recovery scenarios. - Good knowledge of MYSQL/SQL security management. - Good knowledge of how MYSQL/SQL acquires and manages resources. - Good knowledge of MYSQL/SQL data integrity. - Sound knowledge of the implemented application systems. - Experience in code migration, database change management, and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle. - A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning. - A DBA should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors, and systems administrators. - Provide a strategic database direction for MCY. - A DBA should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. - A DBA should possess a sound understanding of the business. #J-18808-Ljbffr
