Head of Mathematics - August 2025

Due to the continued success of our GEMS Wesgreen International School, Sharjah, we are looking to recruit a HOD Mathematics Teacher to start in August 2025. The post holder will lead, manage, and be accountable for the quality of the school’s curriculum provision to promote the fulfilment of the school’s mission. As a Middle Leader and part of the Middle Leadership Team, the post holder will be expected: to articulate a vision for the Mathematics Department in the context of the school’s ethos and vision to lead, manage, coordinate, maintain, develop, monitor, and evaluate the school’s curriculum provision in mathematics for the whole school to contribute to planning, resource management, policy development, and implementation across the school through effective leadership of the Mathematics Department to contribute to ensuring high expectations and standards in all aspects of school life to support the day-to-day organisation and management of the school to be accountable to the appropriate senior or extended leader and ultimately the Principal/CEO to contribute to the school’s Performance Management programme where appropriate There are five key aspects to achieve this: Promoting and ensuring student development, progress, and well-being Leading teaching, learning, and policy within the Mathematics Department Leading and managing people and teams Managing resources Promoting and representing the Mathematics Department This is a fantastic opportunity for international exposure or for experienced teachers to advance their career with a global leader in education within a world-class International School.
