Job Description Job Summary - Mechanical Inspector The Mechanical Inspector will ensure contractors comply with contract documents, coordinate daily with other teams to document and verify work quality and quantity, process Inspection Requests and technical submittals, and perform necessary actions. Read and understand contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, including updates. Ensure contractor compliance through observation, measurements, testing, and tracking quality assurance progress. Maintain records of contractor manpower and equipment resources. Undertake site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer. Document activities, personnel, equipment, and methods used by the contractor in assigned areas. Report on material deliveries and follow site instructions, applying quality controls and procedures. Prepare site measurements and surveying checks as needed. Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and code requirements; oversee health and safety compliance, reporting violations. Specific Skills Required Good knowledge of mechanical methodologies, installation processes, procedures, and Building Codes. Experience in various building types, especially horizontal development, mixed-use residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality projects. Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to write clear reports in English. Detailed knowledge of construction techniques. Minimum of 8 years construction supervision experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE, preferably in mechanical projects. Qualifications A diploma in Mechanical Engineering is acceptable for the inspector role. For progression to engineer level, a BSc degree in an engineering field is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
