The Infrastructure Business is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented, self-starter to join our team as a Discipline Lead - Wet Utilities Design Responsibilities : Designs and develops plans and drawings, which may include the development of preliminary layout and/or final drawings. Performs pump system engineering calculations Performs hydraulic modelling analysis Contributes to technical report writing and data/analysis summary tables and exhibits Participates on projects involving construction activities by reviewing shop drawings for conformance with easily interpreted specifications; assists in recordkeeping and in generating progress reports; observes relatively simple construction procedures and collects samples for quality control testing. Prepares cost and material quantity estimates. Coordinates work with other engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline, and with support services staff. Performs field observations of construction where appropriate. Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary. Requirements: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering with registration in SCE. A minimum of 10 years of experience is required in a similar role/project. Each engineer must be a water / wastewater practitioner with thorough experience in the core subject, having a level or expertise and experience commensurate with the position. Preferred Sills: Excellent interpersonal skills and strong technical writing and communications skills. Experience and familiarity with the following programs is a plus: Arc GIS, Auto CAD, Micro Station, Info Works, SWMM, Storm/Sewer/Water CAD, Revit/BIM experience.
