Role and Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive consultations and examinations to diagnose and treat eye diseases and disorders. Use advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques to monitor conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans considering patients' medical history, lifestyle, and needs. Perform surgical procedures including cataract extraction, laser surgery, and intraocular lens placement. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Stay updated on the latest developments in ophthalmology through continuous education. Serve as a resource for other healthcare providers on ophthalmology matters. Contribute to research and publications in ophthalmology. Qualifications and Requirements Medical degree in Ophthalmology from an accredited institution. Board certification in Ophthalmology with a corneal fellowship. At least 5 years of experience as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in a reputable institution. Strong knowledge of ophthalmic diseases and procedures. Excellent diagnostic and treatment planning skills. Proficiency with ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical equipment. Professional demeanor with excellent bedside manners. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a diverse, multicultural environment. Commitment to ongoing professional development. Western-trained medical education is required.
