Job Description Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Chief Field Engineer for our client ADNOC in Abu Dhabi within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based in Habshan Abu Dhabi. The Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMC Commissioning Manager with a proven track record in overseeing the commissioning process, ensuring they are fully functional and meet project requirements before operational start-up for a high-profile client. Responsible for delivering construction outputs to technical standards. Develop and implement Construction/Implementation plans, including work packaging and procurement strategies, from initiation through commissioning and startup. Provide constructability input to engineering teams to optimize costs, quality, safety, and productivity. Responsibilities Approve construction work packs, ensuring detailed activity breakdowns and narratives. Contribute to development of project work methods, processes, and team skills. Resolve constructability issues during scope survey and engineering stages. Ensure timely delivery of work scopes and quality of construction. Support construction planning, design interpretation, and conflict resolution. Manage plant and equipment certification and control costs. Resource all construction activities with personnel, materials, and equipment. Manage scope changes and complete change management documentation. Verify installation quality and participate in audits and incident investigations. Lead team development and performance management. Coordinate with on-site departments to resolve issues and support schedule. Ensure compliance with company and contract requirements. Act as the primary contact for business interfaces on construction activities. Identify and develop new business opportunities. Oversee project safety and quality delivery. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Degree with at least 15 years of Oil and Gas industry experience. Experience in an Oil & Gas operating company is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Willingness to travel extensively and adapt work location as needed. Qualified to obtain a CICPA and UAE work visa.
