About the job: AGL & Electromechanical Manager Position Title: AGL & Electromechanical Manager Reports to: Head of Facility Management & Engineering Department: Projects & Engineering Job Purpose: Maintain the main power supply of the airport and oversee the maintenance and operation of various power supply equipment in the substation, such as switchgears, transformers, and high distribution panels. Ensure these systems function effectively, comply with safety standards, and support smooth airport operations. Manage departmental projects, budgets, audits, reports, job cards, assets, and upgrades of electromechanical equipment to industrial standards. Functional Accountabilities: Ensure continuous power supply by managing and maintaining substation equipment, adhering to IEE regulations. Conform to planned preventive maintenance standards for airfield ground lighting (AGL) as per GCAA standards, including inspections and fault rectification. Manage routine maintenance of baggage handling systems and explore upgrade options. Conduct routine checks and maintenance for diesel engines and oversee standby generators for navigational equipment. Prepare monthly reports and manage office-related tasks. Perform daily inspections of airport infrastructure and rectify electrical faults promptly. Coordinate with contractors for maintenance of HVAC systems and log all activities systematically. Utilize technical expertise for troubleshooting and supervise staff for daily tasks. Lead and supervise departmental projects, ensuring their successful completion. Review and maintain departmental KPIs, analyze project drawings, BOQ, and specifications for effective planning. Customer and Reporting: Internal communication includes emails, record keeping, reporting, coordination, and audits. External interactions are primarily with contractors and vendors. Qualifications, Experience, & Skills: Educational Qualifications: B.E. in Electronics and Communication or Electrical Engineering Professional Qualifications: Demonstrated technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and management experience in managing airfield ground lighting and electromechanical systems. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards. Experience: Minimum 10 years in major airport projects or maintenance, preferably in the Middle East. Safety Responsibilities: Comply with safety procedures outlined in the Aerodrome Operations Manual, Safety Management System, and report any safety concerns or incidents promptly. Proficiency Level: Leadership, teamwork, conflict resolution, adaptability, decision-making, problem-solving, situational awareness, quality control, customer focus, and technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including ICAO Annex 14 and GCAA CAR standards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
