You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to manage pre- and post-transplant patients, conduct assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans. Post holder Key Responsibilities: Assess and manage pediatric patients with acute and chronic liver diseases. Evaluate candidates for liver transplantation, including pre-transplant assessment and ongoing management. Participate in the care of patients post-transplant, including monitoring for complications and promoting recovery. Collaborate with surgeons, transplant coordinators, pharmacists, and nursing staff in the transplant programme. Educate patients, families, and medical staff regarding liver diseases and transplant processes. Supervise and train junior medical staff and promote a culture of continuous medical education within the department. Provide consults to pediatric liver transplant patients. Education and Training: MBBS or equivalent medical degree (recognized by the General Medical Council). Completion of a Paediatric Gastroenterology or Hepatology fellowship (or equivalent). Additional training in Transplant Hepatology is highly desirable. Licensure and Certification: Full registration with a license to practice with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK. Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) or equivalent. Board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology/Hepatology (if applicable). Eligible for UAE License/DHA Experience: Demonstrable experience in pediatric hepatology and management of liver transplant patients. Proven clinical skills in managing complex cases in a multidisciplinary environment. Experience in conducting clinical research and publishing in peer-reviewed journals is preferred. Currently working and actively involved in pediatric liver transplant center Skills and Attributes: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and families. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to teaching and mentoring junior healthcare professionals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A proactive approach to patient care and a commitment to continuing professional development.
