Job Overview: Here's your chance to step into the role of Senior Manager - Projection & Cinema Systems at Roxy Cinema part of Dubai Holding Entertainment . In this position, you'll take on key responsibilities that include: The Senior Manager Projection & Cinema System plays a strategic leadership role in managing all technical aspects of cinema operations, with a primary focus on projection systems, cinema programming infrastructure, and the end-to-end technical fit-out of new cinema projects, specifically overseeing the successful delivery of the Le Cinema development. This role acts as the key technical authority within the senior management team, ensuring world-class cinema presentation standards, seamless operational support, and timely execution of technical milestones. Key Accountabilities: Technical Operations & Support • Lead the overall technical operations for existing cinema sites, ensuring optimal performance of all AV, projection, and sound systems. • Maintain cinema presentation quality to international standards across all screens. • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and ensure swift resolution of technical issues with minimal operational disruption. • Manage vendor relationships and service contracts related to cinema equipment and systems. • Serve as the technical lead and senior stakeholder for the design, planning, procurement, installation, and commissioning of AV and projection systems for the Le Cinema project. • Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure technical specifications are met on time and within budget. • Supervise on-site technical works, quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Programming & Systems Integration • Oversee and optimize cinema programming systems, including scheduling software, content ingestion, and TMS (Theatre Management Systems). • Coordinate closely with the film programming and content teams to ensure timely and accurate content deployment. • Evaluate and implement technological upgrades and integrations that enhance the customer experience and back-end efficiency. Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities • Act as a key member of the senior leadership team contributing to cinema operations strategy and decision-making. • Develop and manage technical CAPEX and OPEX budgets. • Lead and develop a team of technical staff and engineers across multiple locations. • Support the General Manager in driving innovation, efficiency, and excellence in cinema operations. • Any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Management Team Qualifications: Technical Management, or a related field; advanced certifications in AV, DCI, or IT systems preferred. Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of experience in cinema operations or AV project management Skills : Excellent communication & organisational abilities. Ability to influence and negotiate deals Financial acumen and business analysis capabilities Excellent team management and leadership skills. Proven experience in delivering technical cinema projects, ideally in new cinema openings or large-scale AV installations. In-depth knowledge of digital projection systems (Barco, Christie, NEC, etc.), sound systems (Dolby, DTS), and TMS. Strong understanding of programming workflows, content management, and operational systems integration.
