Role Overview: Responsible for leading the strategy, governance, and execution of security controls for both end-user environments (devices, identities, applications) and user-centric cloud services (Saa S, collaboration tools, M365, etc.). Ensures secure access, configuration, and usage while aligning with Zero Trust, regulatory compliance, and secure-by-design principles. Key Responsibilities: 1. Security Strategy & Governance o Develop and enforce security strategy for end-user and cloud environments. o Define policies and standards for device, identity, and cloud application security. o Ensure alignment with overall enterprise security, Zero Trust, and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR. 2. Cloud Security Oversight o Oversee security of user-centric cloud services. o Manage Saa S security posture, including CASB, DLP, and secure configuration. o Collaborate with Cloud Governance and Dev Sec Ops teams on access control and secure provisioning. 3. Identity & Access Management o Lead implementation and monitoring of Identity Protection, Conditional Access, SSO, MFA, and PIM/PAM for end users. o Manage lifecycle of digital identities in cloud and hybrid environments. 4. Endpoint & Mobile Device Security o Govern security configuration and posture management for Windows, mac OS, mobile, and BYOD. o Enforce endpoint protection (AV/EDR/XDR), hardening, patching, and encryption policies. o Oversee MDM and compliance via tools like Intune. o Monitor and enforce secure collaboration (Teams, Share Point, email, chat apps). o Ensure DLP, email encryption, and classification policies are applied correctly. o Govern file sharing, cloud storage access, and shadow IT prevention. o Integrate user and cloud telemetry into SIEM/SOAR for detection and investigation. o Oversee response playbooks related to phishing, account compromise, or insider risk. o Collaborate with SOC on high-risk user monitoring and UEBA integration. 7. Tooling & Automation Ownership o Lead selection and optimization of technologies including CASB, endpoint security, MDM, UEBA, and collaboration security tools. o Drive automation for access reviews, offboarding, and security alerts. o Maintain risk register for end-user and cloud security risks. o Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements. 9. Vendor and MSSP Coordination o Oversee managed service providers handling endpoint or cloud security operations. o Validate SLAs, reporting, and compliance of third-party tools and support. 11. KPIs & Reporting o Report security posture and KPIs to leadership: endpoint compliance, MFA adoption, DLP violations, user risk scoring, etc. o Work with IT, HR, Legal, and Business Units to enforce secure user onboarding, offboarding, and operational practices. o Liaise with application owners to ensure cloud services used by end users are assessed and secured. 13. Threat Intelligence Integration o Apply threat intelligence to enhance phishing protection, credential abuse detection, and cloud misconfiguration monitoring. 14. Project Management o Lead or contribute to projects for new user and cloud security solutions and rollouts. o Regularly assess and improve maturity of cloud and endpoint security controls using benchmarks like MITRE ATT&CK or CIS.
