They will solve complex Mechanical Engineering problems, work independently with minimal guidance, and may lead teams or projects, serving as a specialist with in-depth expertise and broad knowledge of Mechanical Engineering within the engineering function. Responsibilities: Key Tasks include performing analyses and design per standards, preparing detailed calculations and reports, managing time and resources, and communicating complex concepts clearly. When acting as Lead Engineer, responsibilities expand to directing teams, planning and organizing discipline execution, interface management, and ensuring deliverables meet standards, schedule, and budget. Additional duties involve project scope interpretation, change management, interfacing with other disciplines, preparing estimates, reviewing vendor/subcontractor submissions, supporting procurement, participating in meetings, and guiding less experienced engineers. The role also includes supervising and guiding team members, monitoring costs, maintaining technical guidelines, participating in standards development, and contributing to project and bid planning. When acting as Lead Engineer, additional tasks include identifying staffing needs, acting as project point of contact, ensuring documentation, leading audits, and participating in project performance evaluations. Reports to: Project Lead Engineer, Project Engineering Manager, or Project Manager. Functional: Supervising Department Manager. Liaises with: All engineering disciplines, safety, project management, procurement, vendors, and customers. Supervises: Senior Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and associated engineers. Qualifications: Essential qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, 15-20 years experience in oil and gas, preferably registered as a Professional Engineer or member of a professional society, with strong structural knowledge. Candidates should be well-organized, problem-solvers, fluent in English, and supportive of company goals. Flexibility in reassignments and software proficiency is also required.
