Role Overview: As part of Zutari’s commitment to leveraging digital skills and technology, our team is seeking candidates for the role of MEP BIM Coordinator . The role involves functional, administrative, and management responsibilities. A strong background in MEP, especially within the UAE, and experience managing large-scale design and construction projects are essential. Knowledge of regional clients like Emaar, Modon, Neom, and Red Sea Global is advantageous. Interested candidates should have 8-10 years of proven multidisciplinary BIM Coordination experience in the AEC sector, excellent people skills, a knack for process automation, and a passion for data accuracy and standardization. Key Responsibilities: Oversee design interface coordination, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Define the project scope with the Project Executive and BIM Manager, especially regarding appointment of parties. Collaborate with the BIM Manager and Information Manager to establish and maintain the project’s common data environment (CDE). Co-develop BIM Execution Plans, Model Information Delivery Plans, and maintain these during project delivery. Lead interdisciplinary model coordination meetings to resolve issues and maintain consistent Level of Information Need (LOIN). Establish BIM coordination strategy, secure approvals, communicate to stakeholders, and implement. Manage model federation and maintain cadence for accurate, timely information exchange. Lead project implementation of Zutari’s baseline LOIN, authoring templates, and content libraries. Ensure project compliance through planned audits of the BEP and EIRs. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in the BIM process. Key Interactions: Report to the project leadership team and BIM Manager on digital build health. Provide training and mentoring to BIM modelers and detailers. Collaborate with IT and BIM Managers to address technical challenges. Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand and meet their requirements. Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication skills with 8-10 years’ BIM coordination experience, ideally with strong MEP exposure. Experience coordinating medium-to-large-scale projects with design services and construction contractors. Experience with UAE-based projects is essential; familiarity with high-profile clients (e.g., Emaar, Modon, Neom) is advantageous. Advanced modelling, federation, and information management skills; familiarity with Autodesk (ACC, Navisworks, Revit, C3D) or Bentley suite. Knowledge of ISO 19650 and ISO 7817 standards. Familiarity with Power BI, Plannerly, Solibri, Dynamo, and Python is desirable. Project management experience and qualifications in BIM, engineering, architecture, or construction management are advantageous. We believe that a diverse workforce is key to our success.
