Production Foreman

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Foreman with a strong background in Lean Manufacturing and Health and Safety practices to oversee our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and smooth operation of the production floor while driving continuous improvement through Lean methodologies. You will play a key role in optimizing production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of production workers to ensure daily production targets are met efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Monitor production schedules, workflows, and inventory to ensure a smooth, uninterrupted process. Address and resolve any production issues, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies, providing immediate solutions to minimize downtime. Lean Manufacturing: Champion and implement Lean Manufacturing principles and practices, including 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and waste reduction initiatives. Continuously identify areas for improvement within production processes, equipment, and workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. Participate in Kaizen events and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Health & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations on the production floor. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and ensure all team members are trained on proper safety protocols. Address any potential safety hazards promptly, escalating issues to the Health and Safety Officer or appropriate personnel when necessary. Foster a safety-first culture and ensure the team is aware of and compliant with safety standards at all times. Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership, training, and guidance to production staff, promoting teamwork and high morale. Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide ongoing coaching to improve individual and team performance. Support new employee onboarding, training, and development in lean practices, health, and safety procedures.
