In this role, requires a combination of journalistic rigor and technical video editing skills. The ideal candidate will instantly recognize must-have video content and be able to turn that footage into a professional package for our clients - and at speed! If you can watch a video file and see exactly which part is the most valuable from a visual point of view; the worthiest of highlighting; and the most desirable acquisition for media outlets aiming to draw their audiences’ attention - then we want to hear from you. Your Main Tasks Transforming raw footage into polished, engaging video content Monitoring live transmissions, spotting critical content and editing video into coherent and engaging packages Writing captivating headlines and scripts to go alongside the footage, explaining exactly why it is 'must-have' and including all the essential background Translating soundbites (SOTs), live broadcasts, and other source material with expert accuracy Conducting rigorous research to gather accurate information from reliable sources Working closely with Output Editors to provide comprehensive and joined-up coverage. Your Skills To be successful at this position, we think you should to have: Possession of a journalism or politics degree, or a relevant qualification, is essential Native-level proficiency in the Arabic language, along with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills Positive mindset and exceptional communication skills Ownership mentality and proactive approach Availability for shifts including nights and weekends is required.
