We offer standardized transport as well as highly specialized end-to-end solutions to customers in a wide range of industries globally.DGF UAE has an opening for a Health and Safety Supervisor role in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.Join us in connecting people and improving lives!Job Purpose Develop and administer health, safety and environment plans and processes to mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments, and provide employees with a safe and healthy working environment in line with the business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies Key Tasks Execute health, safety and environment plans and processes to provide employees a safe and healthy work environment Implement health and safety frameworks and standards, ensuring compliance and adherence to internal and external safety standards, and relevant regulations Recognize and mitigate potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices and working conditions within the workplace and external environments Undertake inspections of grounds, facilities and premises, analyze and suggest corrective measures to reduce the risks of injuries and job-related threats Draft reports and conduct investigations on job-related injuries and fatalities, and determine measures to avoid any recurrence Prepare and examine records of workplace injuries, illness and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies Conduct investigations for accidents, identify cause for accidents with engineers, management and health and safety regulatory authorities and prevent their recurrence Participate in development of solutions for the transportation of hazardous material Coordinate orientation activities and daily inspections in the operations facilities, grounds and administrative areas, changes in lay-out and installation of new equipment in order to meet safety rules and standards Draft training material and content, and train employees on safety protocols and safety-conscious work performance Establish contact and relations with key stakeholders from larger community and law enforcement bodies impacting own work area Study and resolve issues in day-to-day health, safety and environment operations and execute practices focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency Stakeholders Connect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providers May convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managers Understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholders Provide technical guidance to line managers and employees Management Responsibility Individual contributor who may manage two or fewer employees May direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs Coach and review the work of lower level professionals Now, here is what we need from you!Qualifications & Key Requirements Education Level Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification Experience Level More than 4 years of experience Skills Workplace Safety, Occupational Health, Facilities Management, Risk Management, Risk Assessment, Audit, Inspection, Accident Investigation, Safety Management Systems, Environmental Awareness, Data Analysis, Business Continuity Management, Claims, DHL Business Knowledge, Business Processes, Business Strategy, Market Research, Project Management, Stakeholder Management, Influencing, Feedback, Presentation & Storytelling, Facilitation Seniority level Seniority level Director Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Management and Manufacturing Industries Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at DHL Global Forwarding by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Health and Safety Supervisor” roles. 145 Parts Officer
