Principal – AI-Powered Instructional Design Studio (Arabic Bilingual Lab) Legato Design Consulting is establishing a dedicated Arabic-English Bilingual Instructional Design Studio to produce high-quality, culturally relevant learning content for schools, ministries, and education publishers across the GCC. As Principal , you will lead this initiative—overseeing strategy, production, localization, and quality assurance of bilingual instructional content across K–12 and higher education segments. This role is central to our mission of delivering regionally grounded, globally aligned education solutions . You will ensure all learning materials are linguistically accurate, pedagogically sound, and reflective of cultural and curricular expectations of the GCC region. You will report to the senior leadership team and play a strategic role in defining how bilingual content can shape the future of education in the Arab world. As Principal , you will lead this initiative—overseeing strategy, production, localization, and quality assurance of bilingual instructional content across K–12 and higher education segments. You will ensure all learning materials are linguistically accurate, pedagogically sound, and reflective of cultural and curricular expectations of the GCC region. You will report to the senior leadership team and play a strategic role in defining how bilingual content can shape the future of education in the Arab world. Key Responsibilities Establish and lead the Arabic Bilingual Instructional Design Studio, including team structure, workflows, and production standards. Oversee the design and development of bilingual instructional content across formats—print, digital, and hybrid—ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural integrity. Develop localization frameworks that adapt English-origin content into meaningful, grade-appropriate Arabic versions for GCC learners. Ensure compliance with curriculum frameworks such as the UAE Ministry of Education, Saudi Vision 2030, IB, and Common Core (as applicable) . Manage and mentor a cross-functional team of instructional designers, subject matter experts, translators, and content editors. Liaise with clients, regulators, and internal teams to define expectations, deliverables, and feedback loops across multiple projects. Conduct regular quality audits for linguistic accuracy, educational rigor, cultural representation, and instructional design effectiveness. Shape editorial and instructional guidelines for consistent, high-quality bilingual curriculum output across all projects. Champion cultural sensitivity , diversity, and inclusiveness in all learning materials produced by the studio. What Success Looks Like A fully operational, high-performing bilingual studio delivering multilingual content at scale within the first 3–4 months. Consistently high client satisfaction with cultural relevance, curriculum alignment, and learner engagement in produced content. Internal team working with clear processes, guidelines, and production velocity. Recognition in the region for excellence in Arabic-English bilingual curriculum development. Qualifications Required 10+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or educational publishing . Minimum 3 years in a leadership role managing curriculum teams or large-scale content production. Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic , with strong command over English (written and spoken). Experience in K–12 or higher education curriculum development with a focus on the GCC region. Strong understanding of local curriculum mandates, values education , and bilingual learning environments. Proven ability to lead cross-cultural teams and manage multiple stakeholders across time zones. Preferred Experience working with Ministries of Education, regional regulators, or educational publishers in the Arab world. Background in Arabic Language Education or dual-language curriculum programs. Exposure to bilingual editorial workflows , terminology management, and quality assurance frameworks. Familiarity with digital content formats, LMS-compatible structures, and instructional media best practices.
