This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management, driving sales growth through both B2B and B2C channels while fostering long-lasting partnerships with international OEMs. ROLE DESCRIPTION The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for the country’s trading activities. This includes developing sales strategies that align with market dynamics, overseeing a substantial team across multiple showrooms, and implementing operational improvements that enhance performance and customer satisfaction. The Country Trading Manager will play a crucial role in establishing the business as a market leader in the MEP sector. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the organization's long-term goals and market demands, focusing on sustainable growth in both B2B and B2C segments. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities for expansion, product line enhancements, and new service offerings, positioning the company favorably against competitors. Team Management and Development : Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Create individualized development plans and provide continuous training opportunities to prepare team members for advancing their skills and responsibilities. Organize regular team meetings to ensure alignment on goals and strategies, celebrating achievements while addressing challenges collaboratively. Showroom Operations and Performance : Oversee the operations of multiple showrooms, ensuring they are optimized for showcasing products effectively and creating a welcoming environment for customers. Monitor showroom performance metrics, implementing improvements to enhance customer engagement and increase sales conversions. Partnership Development and Management : Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with international OEMs, identifying synergies that enhance product offerings and competitive positioning in the market. Negotiate partnership agreements that deliver value to both parties and drive profitability. Promote a consultative sales methodology within the team that emphasizes understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions. Engage proactively with key clients, maintaining relationships and ensuring their requirements are met or exceeded through exceptional service delivery. Performance Monitoring and Reporting : Utilize analytics and reporting tools to track sales performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Present regular reports to senior management regarding progress against targets and strategic objectives. Set and manage KPIs for the sales team and the organization as a whole to ensure accountability and transparency in all trading activities. Financial Oversight and Budget Management : Develop and manage the sales budget, monitoring expenditures closely to align with revenue targets and financial projections. Implement cost-effective measures across the sales and operational processes to maximize profitability without compromising quality. Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure all trading activities comply with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices, including health and safety regulations. Maintain awareness of market changes or risks and develop contingency plans to manage potential impact on sales and operations. Innovative Practices and Technology Utilization : Stay informed of technological advancements and industry innovations that can improve operational efficiency or enhance the customer experience. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to propose and implement innovative solutions to improve processes. QUALIFICATIONS Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is preferred. Experience : Minimum of 10-15 years in sales management, with at least 5 years in the MEP sector or related industry, focusing on air-conditioning, refrigeration and water supply systems. Proven Track Record : A demonstrated history of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth Team Development : Significant experience in developing teams, creating roadmaps for sales initiatives, and fostering a high-performance culture. Partnership Experience : Established experience in building and managing partnerships with international OEMs, including successful negotiations and contract management. Leadership : Exceptional leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing teams. Communication : Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels. Analytical Thinking : Proficient in analyzing sales data and market trends to inform decision-making and strategy refinement. Negotiation Skills : Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities to resolve conflicts and drive favorable outcomes in partnerships and sales.
