We are hiring a Senior Site Reliability / Gitops Engineer for our Information Systems (IS) team. This role is ideal for an automation-focused senior technologist passionate about Linux, infrastructure as code, and open source. You will drive automation, improve products, and collaborate across teams to enhance our services. Responsibilities Lead automation and Git Ops initiatives as an embedded tech lead. Collaborate with IS architect to align solutions with architecture vision. Design and develop services as internal products. Implement infrastructure as code practices, increasing automation. Automate software operations across private and public clouds, considering distributed systems complexities. Maintain operational responsibility for core services, networks, and infrastructure. Develop troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance skills; set up observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch. Support global engineering, operations, and support teams. Focus on larger projects and automation during dedicated development time. Share expertise through design sessions, mentorship, and collaborative work. Handle time-critical escalations. Qualifications Modern hosting architecture driven by infrastructure as code. Product mindset focused on developing products, not just solutions. Proficiency in Python with large projects. Experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration. Proven ability to manage and deploy cloud infrastructure via code. Practical Linux networking, routing, and firewall knowledge. Experience with Linux storage solutions like Ceph and databases. Hands-on Linux server administration. Extensive cloud computing knowledge. Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field. Effective communication skills in English. Strong troubleshooting skills from kernel to web. Quick learner, flexible, and open to new challenges. Passion for open source, especially Ubuntu or Debian. Benefits Distributed work environment with biannual in-person team sprints.
