Direct message the job poster from Khazna Data Centers Acting as the senior innovation subject matter expert, (SME), assist in the delivery of innovation businesses cases and innovation implementation from ideation through to completion by interacting with a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensure the fulfillment of their requirements in terms of design, documentation, coordination, communication and monitor the progress and technical compliance to ensure timely and on-budget completion and handover. 2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: ( Description) Market research, analyze new technologies and ideas that can bring benefit to the company Evaluate innovations against technical feasibility, impact on design, buildability, operations, Sustainability, ESG. Evaluate innovations against key metrics such as Capex, Opex, PUE, CUE, WUE, TTM (Time to Market), IP potential etc. Establish plans for implementation of POC (proof of concept) and final implementation of innovations, detailing technical requirements, base line measurements, evaluation criteria, timelines etc. Coordinate between the different departments internally and stakeholders externally Produce drawings, calculations, specifications and presentations to substantiate the business case Have a deep understanding of data center electrical systems including LV & MV power distribution, uninterrupted power supply, lighting, grounding, ELV and backup power generation Work closely with other engineering disciplines to produce holistic data center designs that meet project and business requirements. Review and approve electrical equipment material selections and submittals to ensure compliance with electrical design requirements, Khazna requirements and project requirements. Collaborate with project teams and other engineering disciplines to assess project requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and develop electrical design strategies that align with project goals. Ensure compliance with Khazna requirements when reviewing and approving vendor technical submissions for innovations. Investigate and advise on new technologies and engineering advancements that could be implemented to improve data center design and operation. Project Management Working with the Director Innovation act as the electrical innovation SME, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical innovations into overall data center design. Manage innovations from inception through to implementation and evaluation Oversee multiple innovation projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgetary constraints are met without compromising quality. During implementation, coordinate with the design and implementation team to assist with supervision, design, compatibility issues and technical requirements. Act as the focal point between the contractors and operations teams, on electrical systems once the project is handed over to ensure smooth communication and resolution of issues and technical queries. Contractor, Consultant and Supplier Management Assist in preparing the scope and technical aspects of RFP’s from an engineering point of view for new and operational projects to ensure adherence to relevant methodologies and processes. Ensure Khazna technical requirements are met during design, construction, and commissioning phases of projects. Review and evaluate the bids and proposals submitted by third parties from a technical point of view to ensure compliance with requirements Team Supervision Provide guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy. Budgeting and Financial Performance Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management. Provide inputs and implement policies, systems, and procedure for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service. Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction. Reporting Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet ABC and department requirements, policies, and quality standards. Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment. Context, Work environment & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY: The job holder is required to foresee and meet current and potential challenges presented by rapid operational and staff growth in creating and implementing effective human resources strategy. The job holder exercises financial authority as per the level established by Khazna management and stipulated in the authority matrix. Key decisions having significant impact on the department are referred to Director Innovation for approval before implementation. 5 QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Uptime certification or equivalent is preferred. 8+ years of relevant experience in electrical data center design and delivery. Experience in product development is preferred Experience with hyperscale data center design is preferred but not essential. Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical): Excellent verbal and written English is essential. Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices related to data center electrical systems. Knowledge of authority requirements and experience in authority approvals. Experience with data center installation and testing & commissioning. Knowledge of relevant international and local standards Proficient in industry-standard design software (e.g., Auto CAD, ETAP.
