Senior Accountant (9-12 months Contract)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES About the role We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support our finance department. The successful candidate will manage operational finance, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and timely. They will also prepare various reports and analyses for management. As a Senior Accountant, you will: Assist senior team members with daily data entry. Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports as required. Oversee and validate sales and purchase order data, correcting entries as needed. Finalize sales and revenue for the month. Reconcile stock receipts with purchase orders. Review the month-end stock report and make provisions per accounting policy. Assist in regular stock counts. Manage fixed assets. Review master data for vendors, customers, and items regularly. Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts. Review backlog and report weekly changes. Maintain records for vendor purchase orders and invoices, implementing a 3-way match process. Review vendor advances and track payments. Assist in sales order approval by reviewing margins and obtaining approvals. Prepare tax returns for UAE and KSA entities. Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager. *Please note that the candidate may need to be available outside regular working hours to serve multiple countries/time zones. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE About you The ideal candidate will have: At least 3 years of experience, preferably with multinational companies in a multi-entity environment. Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, or CPA). Knowledge of IFRS and financial statement preparation. Experience with an audit firm, ideally the Big 4. Knowledge of Middle East tax laws such as VAT, corporate tax, and withholding tax. Proficiency in MS Excel and handling large datasets.
