Job Overview The Procurement Director will oversee and optimize procurement processes in the aircraft leasing industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing inventory, procuring aircraft parts, and handling Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) for new aircraft pipelines. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the aviation industry. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management: Develop and implement strategies for inventory management across warehouse locations Optimize inventory levels to balance stock availability and costs Implement inventory tracking systems and conduct regular audits Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and identify trends Aircraft Parts Procurement: Lead procurement of aircraft parts supporting operations and new aircraft pipelines Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts Implement sourcing strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency Stay updated on market trends and industry developments Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) Management: Oversee BFE management for new aircraft pipelines Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers for timely BFE delivery Maintain BFE tracking systems and manage budgets Resolve procurement issues related to BFE Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor procurement team members Set goals, provide guidance, and conduct performance evaluations Promote continuous learning and professional growth Strategic Planning and Reporting: Develop procurement strategies aligned with company goals Prepare reports on procurement activities and performance metrics Collaborate with other departments and identify process improvements Participate in long-term procurement planning #J-18808-Ljbffr
