Laser Technician - RN
Description
Responsible for preparing clients for hair removal, tattoo removal, minimizing the appearance of wrinkles, operating approved laser devices, and providing clients with post-treatment skin care. Also provide general nursing care and leadership, working collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. Responsibilities Conducts competent physical assessments using observation and communication, and prepares appropriate skin care treatments based on clinical knowledge and consultation with a Dermatologist/Physician. Operates laser machines for hair removal, recognized by certification from Dermatologists in Cosme Surge. Provides up-to-date, sanctioned knowledge and empathetic support for clients undergoing treatments such as hair removal, skin resurfacing, vascular lesions, and tattoo removal. Manages skin treatment and care before and after procedures, including wound identification and healing stages, coordinating with medical practitioners when necessary. Provides facial skin care to maintain and improve skin appearance, with understanding of sun effects on skin. Offers pain relief, stress reduction, and anxiety management techniques prior to procedures, based on competence. Ensures timely and accurate documentation of procedures, informed consents, and patient education on skin care protocols. Delivers safe, high-quality care in clinics/outpatient and surgical settings, adhering to safety standards and infection control practices. Handles cleaning and decontamination of instruments and equipment, maintaining clinic cleanliness during sessions. Recognizes and manages emergencies and unsafe situations, initiating appropriate interventions. Performs duties professionally and maintains confidentiality. Registered Nurse: Gathers patient information through assessment skills including observation, communication, and physical assessment. Completes nursing history and physical forms upon patient entry to the outpatient department. Records vital signs, pain assessments, and documents all patient interactions in progress notes. Plans patient care during outpatient visits. Prioritizes and executes care based on doctor’s orders and patient needs. Initiates prompt nursing interventions for changes in patient condition, considering age and circumstances. Proficient with equipment used in the department. Develops clinical expertise within the outpatient department. Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent (3-year GNM with DOH RN License acceptable).
