Urban Designer/ Landscape Architect

Serving clients across five continents and the Pacific region GHD people share a passion for exceeding the expectations of our clients and contributing to their success.About the Role: Our Middle East operations have an exciting opportunity for an Urban Designer to join our office in Abu Dhabi.Job Summary: The Urban Designer with proven experience in the UAE/Middle East to contribute to the delivery of high-quality master planning and urban design projects. The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of master planning urban design and landscape projects. The role requires a balance of design creativity technical knowledge and familiarity with local authority processes.Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the design and delivery of urban design and master planning projects.Support landscape design tasks including site analysis concept development and integration with urban frameworks.Prepare design drawings reports and visual presentations to effectively communicate ideas.Efficient in Report writing and related graphics.Collaborate with architects engineers and landscape teams to develop integrated and sustainable design solutions.Conduct research benchmarking and precedent studies to inform project development.Ensure all work complies with UAE authority codes standards and submission requirements.Stay updated on emerging design trends and technologies applying them where relevant.Requirements: Degree in Urban Design Landscape Architecture or related field.Minimum 5 years of professional experience with strong exposure to projects in the UAE/Middle East.Strong urban design and landscape design skills with the ability to integrate both disciplines.Proficiency in design and visualization tools (Auto CAD Adobe Creative Suite Sketch Up Revit or GIS).Good understanding of master planning regulations and approval processes in the UAE.Excellent graphic hand sketching and presentation skills.Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary environments.Proactive adaptable and committed to delivering high-quality design outcomes.Take on some of the worlds toughest challenges- with everyone at GHD backing you every step of the way.At GHD we celebrate the power of a multicultural workforce and champion individual achievement.
