Software delivery manager - €5,000 - €10,000 per month - Porto
My client are currently looking for a software delivery manager to work on their exchange platform based in London. The company are the largest exchange in London that handles approximately billion transactions per day and they are facing some very complex problems.
The team you will be overseeing will consist of around 7 people that are all experienced Java developers. For this role it would be a huge plus if you have some Java knowledge or have been a developer in the past. Other languages will be accepted as long as you can give examples of scalable complex software that you have been involved with. You will be working with some very technical people so understanding the questions that are asked is a must, you do not need to know the answer that's for the team to work out.
This company work in a very agile way and typically release software every week. It will be suited to candidates that can be extremely flexible and can keep track of what's going on in the team. This role will be open to developers who want to take that step into leadership or delivery managers that want to progress to a more senior role with exciting challenges. You will have line management responsibilities and will need to lead and mentor the team.
Skills:
Strong technical skills with Java or other OO language
Strong delivery experience
Experience of some line management responsibilities
Ownership of software in some capacity and willing to be responsible for software
