Roles and Responsibilities:
A Logistics Co-ordinator must be able to communicate effectively since the job primarily involves interaction with clients, couriers and other operational departments.
A Logistics Co-ordinator is especially responsible for monitoring import or export process to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
He should ensure proper deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining accurate logs of all transportation and goods.
A Logistics Co-ordinator must ensure that quality assurance checks are completed and maintained.
He should be proactively, effectively analyze the priorities of deliveries and driver schedules, so that the next day routine schedule is confirmed.
Should be organized and logical, willing to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures and should be efficiently solving problems relating to documents and transportation of goods in locations both national and overseas.
Work on delivery note received and co-ordinate with other departments for the shipment of goods.
Maintaining, arranging, labeling, counting and facilitating all the arrangements for the transfer of goods.
Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers.
Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers, using transport management, electronic logistics marketplace, electronic freight information systems, to improve efficiency, speed or quality of transportation services.
Work on the daily customs issues and customs documentation.
Analyze the feasible cost effective way of transportation ( AIR /SEA /ROAD) in the best interest of the company.
Coordinate with suppliers , vendors , customer with regards to price / process / procedures to execute objective of logistics.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or process, such as customer, sales, order management, accounting or shipping.
