We are recruiting on behalf of our client, for a carer with special needs experience. The role is to look after a young child (11years old) with special needs. You must be able to meet the requirements of the job and be able to demonstrate experience of working with children with special needs.

The role requires someone to pick the child from the school every day (15:30 to 17:30 term time) look after the child until the parent gets back from work. They must be able to manage and supervise the child during in their normal routine. They also need to demonstrate patience.

Essential Criteria:

The successful candidate must have the following:

Experience looking after children with special needs

Demonstrate patience and excellent communication skills

Have a DBS certificate

Have a First Aid Certificate

Have a Level 2/3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or Childcare certificate

Registered with OFSTED (if childcare certified)

Generally, support the parent with the child, Monday to Fridays (2hours per day, term time) and holidays, hours are from 9 am to 6 pm (10 hours) Mondays to Fridays.

Special needs: 1 year (Preferred)


Certificate of Higher Education (Preferred)


English (Preferred)

Required qualifications

Level 2/3 diploma Childcare
