The Team Assistant role will take over from Daisy, who has been in this role for over three years and is leaving in December. The role is essential to OURMALA's smooth-running and works with our core team, beneficiaries, volunteers and others in the community.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone bright with a naturally positive can-do attitude, honesty, integrity and a genuine affinity and understanding of OURMALA's work. You will be naturally hard-working, diligent, highly efficient, proactive and happy to muck-in with whatever needs doing. You will also be comfortable working independently as well as being part of a team.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Highly efficient, organised, diligent and able to work to tight deadlines
Logical and systematic thinking
Ability to think on feet, not easily fazed
Perceptive and sensitive, clear about boundaries
Problem-solving
Attention to detail
IT literate, with strong technical skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
Committed yoga student
Working with people seeking international protection in the UK and / or vulnerable people in challenging situations and familiarity with the asylum systems
Experience in a non-profit / start-up / humanitarian environment
Experience of Salesforce
Managing small projects
Google Drive, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
THE DEAL
The role is three days a week, based in our office in Richmond. Remote working will not be considered.
