Job details
The accountant at our organization is the financial heart. You must be very quick, financially smart and tough. Your accounting skills must be second to none. If you are personally in debt, don't apply for this job.
Your attitude should be "I will do this hard task if no one else is volunteering to do it". You must be able to easily keep accounts updated and provide monthly reports that are easy to read and understand. You must be on top of your numbers. Your communication skills in english MUST BE excellent. You will be asked to submit a written essay that demonstrates this.
There are number of tasks you will be responsible for, some of these are:
Reports directly to the Commercial Director (CD).
The Financial Controller is responsible for all finance functions and final audit of the Company, reporting to the Commercial Director.
Responsible for the submission of monthly management financial report
Ensures procurement project costs/budgets are not exceeded.
Ensures timely payments and collection of receivables
Arrange banking facilities in accordance with instructions from Commercial Director- including bonds and L/Cs (export, import and local).
Checking and verifying all payments to suppliers before forwarding to the CD for counterchecking.
Prepare and coordinate all necessary documents for annual audit.
Follow-up with clients and project's staff to finalize their accounts as required.
Responsible for subordinates' training and appraisals and submit relevant reports to HR in a timely manner.
Responsible for data entry and other accounting jobs.
Preparing budgets.
Cash flow updating on daily basis.
Coordinating with Finance consultants and auditors.
Maintaining financial books.
Formulating procedures related to accounts.
