Requires a Dubai Municipality approved Structural Engineer, highly committed, responsible and creative individual, have excellent interpersonal skills and work well under pressure, have the ability to design various structures as well as supervise the site work.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Great Knowledge in structural design codes, standards and regulations of Local Authorities and capable to obtain their approvals.
Deal with steel, concrete, building facade structural calculations
Draw rough and detailed scale plans for steel structures and building facades based on preliminary concepts, sketches, construction dwg, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural / structural designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary.
Capable and expert of preparing Layout plan, elevation, section, details etc for commercial, residential and public buildings, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and other related software.
Represent structural engineer and designer on construction site, ensuring client/consultant compliance with design specifications and advising on design corrections, under architect's supervision.
Analyze technical implications of structural design concept, calculations.
Operate computer-aided drafting equipment/ software or conventional drafting station to produce designs, working drawings, calculation charts, forms and records.
Coordinate with architectural, electrical and mechanical design & drawings to determine a method of presentation in order to graphically represent building plans
Liaising directly with clients and assist the clients in achieving their aspirations.
Coordinate designs with both internal design teams, other design contractors / vendors
Assist in the production of commercial bids and tender documentation
Perform for any other assignments in relation to the Structural Department
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATION
BE/B-tech in Civil Engineering or ME/M-tech in Structural Engineering or Similar
Minimum 4 -6 years' experience in GCC in structural design for building projects
Be Dubai Municipality Approved or Certified To either G + 4 or G + 12
Currently resides in the UAE
