Candy Maker- Full Time, Papabubble Lebanon (DIFCo Sole Franchisee)
Job Description: the Candy Maker will be assisting
with all overall candy production, which includes preparing custom orders and menu
items from recipes for consumption. They will also be responsible for promoting
a fun and creative working environment. The job requires (but not limited to):
Batch making, boiling, cooking, candy mixing and cooks candy ingredients by
following, modifying, or formulating recipes to produce product of specified
flavor, texture, and color: Cooks ingredients at specified temperatures in
open-fire (or steam-jacketed kettles or in batch or continuous pressure cookers
(if available). Casts candy by hand, using molds and funnel, or tends machine
that casts candy in starch or rubber molds. Spreads candy onto cooling and
heating slabs. Kneads and machine-pulls candy. Spins or rolls candy into strips
ready for cutting. Examines, feels, and tastes product to evaluate color,
texture, and flavor. Adds ingredients or modifies cooking and forming
operations as needed.
Responsibilities
•      Â
Candy Manufacturing: After receiving necessary training, responsible for
executing candy and custom candy orders with attention to details on delivering
the right job from the first try, with the help with in-store candy maker.
•      Â
Candy Stock Replenishment: replenish shelf stock for candy as
listed by store manager, and SKU list.
•      Â
Raw Material Stock: Re-stock all candy supplies and candy ingredients
throughout shift.
•      Â
Packaging Stock: Re-stock all plastic and glass packaging throughout
shift.
•      Â
Production area: wash and clean at end of shift all equipment and
utensils used for candy making to assure a clean start for next day. Prepare
needed raw material and packaging for orders for next day.

Constant use of water and raw material. Constant
wearing of gloves is required.
•      Â
Hairnet, physical and clean appearance, and fresh body
odor a must
•      Â
Must be able to adhere/ follow written recipes.
Basic Qualifications
•      Â
You must be minimum 21 years of age to be considered
for this role
•      Â
Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced team
environment
•      Â
Demonstrate a desire to work in a guest service and
team environment
•      Â
Demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for working in the store
•      Â
Creativity within candy making is a key advantage
•      Â
Strong listening skills and ability to follow
directions
•      Â
Must be flexible and able to work a variety of long
hours and shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
Extra work hours are compensated accordingly.
•      Â
Good command of English (Must). (Additional Arabic or
French language would be ideal).
Preferred Qualification
•      Â
Previous candy making experience preferred (handmade)
(in factory or store) but not a must
