Job Candidate Requirements:

Assist in design and development of specific electronic/software modules or components to meet design requirements.

For Electronic Design duties:

- Support electrical analysis, compiling data for investigation

- Assist in design and fabrication of prototype hardware

- Support the electrical testing of hardware and documenting results

- Generate and reviewing the electrical design content of drawings, engineering specifications and reports

For Software Design duties:

- Assist design and development of software components to meet specified design requirements

- Develop, review and document software requirements, design and code

- Support hardware and software integration including investigating and debugging issues

- Support verification of design by developing test procedures, analyzing results, and troubleshooting failures

Work with a cross-disciplinary team of motivated engineers on smart nation projects

Job Candidates Responsibilities:

Knowledge and experience on at least one of the following areas:

- Embedded systems and hardware/software interactions

- Basic signal processing concepts and algorithms

- Real time operating systems

- Robotics

- Linux/BSD user and kernel environments

- Wired and wireless communication/networking protocols

Experience in at least one of the following programming, scripting and query languages:

- C, C++, Assembly (Intel, Motorola, and/or PowerPC), Java, Perl, Python, C Shell, Bash, and SQL.

Basic knowledge of low-level processor/controller architectures, operating system concepts, and hardware interfacing

Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree or diploma program for Computer, Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.

Strong development practices including design and code reviews, testing and regression, revision control, and user documentation

Strong oral and written communication skills
