Job Description:

Sevenoaks Suns require enthusiastic and innovative individuals to work with us on our rapidly expanding basketball development programme, including:

Acting as a role model and mentor to the young people in the club.

Plan and deliver high-standard basketball training programme across a range of age-groups and ability levels.

Coaching at primary and secondary schools, local and national league competitions, tournaments, and camps.

Supporting our leadership programme for junior members.

Able to travel using own transport (although club vehicle might be available).

Flexibility on work schedule - Available to work during school & after school hours, evenings, and weekends.

Assist on other club duties if needed ( admin, website, social media, table official, referring).

Report to Operations & Development Manager.

Contract & Salary:

One year contract, Full Time, Temporary

25 Coaching hours plus essential tasks (admin, preparation, reporting, meetings, etc)


Permanent Contract plus performance bonus.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Level 2 Coach Qualification with experience coaching all ages and abilities from primary school beginners to national league and county/regional players.

Coordinating and delivering a high standard of coaching.

Passionate about helping individuals reach their potential.

Pro-active and motivated to work to a high standard.

An enthusiastic and innovative individual with excellent inter-communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively across many levels through a variety of formats.

Use initiative to identify and perform needed tasks.

Ability to plan and manage own workload effectively.

Reliable ICT skills (MS Word and Excel).

Current DBS check.

1st Aid at Work qualification.

Must have own vehicle and insurance.

Must have National Insurance Number

Preferred Skills:

Safeguarding & Protecting Children certificate.

Level 2 Referee &Table Official qualification.

The successful applicant will be required to adhere to all club policies.
