KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting
Maintenance of the financial accounting systems, accounting records and data in accordance with statutory and legal requirements including maintenance of the chart of accounts, key accounting policies of the Group, key accounting controls and performance of those controls and reconciliations.
On-time delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual report and accounts for the Group and individual legal entities, including audited accounts.
Identify, manage and mitigate financial reporting risks.
Implement, document and maintain financial controls to the highest standard.
Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities and follow through to ensure that recommended solutions are fully implemented.
Liaise with the Management Accountant to ensure there is consistency between the management accounts and the financial accounts and to understand the business reasons and drivers behind any significant variances to budget.
Prepare and submit the VAT and GST returns and manage all related payments.
Assist with the preparation of corporate tax returns.
Assist with ad-hoc requests as and when required (e.g. lender data requests; new business)
Treasury, AP & AR Responsibilities
Oversee daily and weekly cash balance reporting; short and Long-term cash flow forecasting;
Ensure Monitoring/reporting of currency and interest rate exposures (ensure risk mitigation)
Ensure all AP / AR are completed (e.g. supply payments in line with P2P process; KPI reporting; client invoicing in line with project invoicing schedules; support collection of payables)
Manage all aspects of external finance administration and compliance including reporting requirements, covenant and other compliance and loan/debt administration.
Manage intercompany loan position in line with overall corporate strategy.
Supporting the VP Finance & IT with respect to managing existing bank relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified accountant with more than 5 years PQE.
Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background with up to date knowledge of IFRS - particularly long term contract accounting.
Proven ability in understanding the commercial implications of technical accounting requirements.
Strong grasp of the mechanics of Group consolidation.
IT literate and ideally experienced on IFS – ERP system.
Advanced Excel skills a must to be efficient in report generation.

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Detail oriented but also able to see the bigger picture.
Previous experience in a supervisory role with proven ability in supervising and developing staff.
Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment.
Strong communication skills verbal and written and ability to work and interact with all levels of personnel.
Experience and ability to influence both leaders and stakeholders and be seen as a specialist in their field.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a continuously evolving environment.
Ability to work independently
