Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM's streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.How you'll make an impact:This is a Software Engineer III position within our Client Software Engineering organization. This role will work on Web-based client software for our SiriusXM and Pandora products. As a member of our Client Software Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to improve the Pandora and SiriusXM experiences for millions of customers we serve. You will get the chance to take on complex and interesting problems as part of a fast-paced, highly collaborative team. We hold ourselves to high standards and take pride in our work. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned Web engineer to deepen their experience and work with a world-class team.What you'll do:Develop innovative enhancements and new features for our existing Pandora and SiriusXM applications or websites.Facilitate the troubleshooting of pre- and post-production issues, working closely with the development team.Participate in code reviews as part of a larger team.Be familiar with the overall software stack and the software components of the applications and websites we build, and always look for ways to improve.Participate in your team's software development coding standards, code review, and all documentation as it applies to software development of the platforms you work on.Participate in the Agile development process for client development.Keep fully aware of industry evolution, new technologies, and the evolution of client application or web frameworks.What you'll need:A strong interest in collaborating via code reviews and technical discussions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A growth mindset and an ability to learn quickly.4+ years of experience developing Client Software for Web-based platforms.Web:Experience with core technologies such as Node.JS, GitHub Actions, Webpack, Vite, Nomad, Docker, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Jest, Vitest.Experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Experience with CI/CD environments like Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitHub actions.Experience writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests with Jest, Vitest, or similar.Ability to troubleshoot problems across multiple levels of the web application stack.Nice to have experience with Docker, or other containerization technologies.Nice to have experience with Webpack, Vite, or similar, and related JavaScript / TypeScript tooling.Nice to have exposure to architectural design patterns of highly scaled web applications.Nice to have experience building responsive and mobile web experiences.Nice to have familiarity with HTML5/JavaScript environments beyond web browsers.Nice to have solid command of web standards, best practices, accessibility, and browser compatibility issues.Our goal at SiriusXM is to provide and maintain a work environment that fosters mutual respect, professionalism, and cooperation.
