Test Specialist: Performance & Capacity Management

**Introduction**As a Test Specialist at IBM, your analytical and technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create. Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to IBM'ers and our clients.**Your Role and Responsibilities**- Roles & Responsibilities:- Conduct system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability.- Work with testing team to develop performance test plans and cases.- Develop performance testing scripts and execute it's scenarios.- Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for bug fixes.- Generate test summary reports for management review.- Analyze root causes of performance issues and support on the corrective actions.- Conduct job trainings and provide assistance to Junior Test Engineers as needed.- Suggest new tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency.- Assist in performance testing planning, scheduling, budgeting and tracking activities.- Suggest and establish performance testing environments.- Review and recommend improvements to existing test procedures**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related proven experience- Experience in one or more load testing tools (e.g. Jmeter, LoadRunner, SOAPUI, Microsoft Visual Studio, Selenium, etc.)- Comprehensive understanding of Linux (Unix) commands and scripting language- Proven data analysis and problem solving skills- Basic understanding of SQL- Good command in English (Must be able to communicate with Expats)**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**NA**About Business Unit**IBM Consulting is IBM's consulting and global professional services business, with market leading capabilities in business and technology transformation.
