Repair Engineer - Gas turbines, Blades & Vanes
A Snapshot of your day Motivated and driven to succeed within a multi-functional multi-disciplined team. Be prepared for sophisticated challenges and every single day brings new challenges. You provide technical guidance to manufacturing engineers and support brazing, coating, and additive manufacturing applications. You contribute to global technology roadmaps and oversee the Siemens energy Dammam Hub blades and vanes roadmap. Throughout the day, you drive fleet feedback and support fleet feedback from Service Engineering to New Unit. You assist in the global harmonization of repairs and collaborate across the global repair network to develop innovative solutions and initiate improvement projects. How You'll Make An Impact- Project Leadership: Lead qualification projects within repair development with a focus on blades, vanes, and ring segments.
- Technical Guidance: Guide manufacturing engineers in understanding and solving technical issues and supporting reviews for repair development.
- Expertise: Utilize your strong technical knowledge to support brazing, coating, and additive manufacturing applications.
- Technology Roadmaps: Support global technology roadmaps for key areas needed for repair development (welding, brazing, additive manufacturing, stripping, coating) and oversee the SEDH blades and vanes roadmap and scrap rates.
- Fleet Feedback: Drive fleet feedback for findings seen during the repair cycle in SEDH to stakeholders and support fleet feedback from Service Engineering to New Unit to close the loop and help to improve our fleet.
- Global Repair Network Support: Assist in the global harmonization of repairs.
- Collaboration: Collaborate across global repair network to develop and implement innovative solutions, generate ideas, and initiate improvement projects.
- You possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- You have 5+ years working experience in repair development or LGT manufacturing and project management.
- Strong knowledge of repair technologies and/or technologies within the LGT Industry.
- You have excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Willingness to collaborate with various teams and support cross-organizational projects.
