Job Description Position summary CNC expert with hands-on experience in blueprint interpretation and accurate machine setup. Full command over software and programming languages required to key up CNC machinery for specified automated functions. Competent in fine-tuning software to obtain desired quality of end product. Known for ensuring quality and taking correctional measures accordingly. Having knowledge of doing Programs for API and Premium Connection like VAM, GRAND PREDICO, FOX, etc. Essential functions
- Study work orders, sketches, drawings, and blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances that need to be programmed into CNC machines.
- Program CNC machines according to data derived from sketches and drawings.
- Plan efficient order cycles for each job fed into the CNC machine.
- Ascertain that the correct set of tools are chosen for each cycle and stage.
- Load parts, operate controls, set offsets, and handle simple edits to ensure that conformance standards are met.
- Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on work pieces and materials.
- Detect equipment/machine malfunction and handle adjustments.
- Ascertain that parts are fabricated properly so that they meet quality control standards.
- Set up mills and lathes and load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
- Maintain end product specifications by ensuring that drilling, grooving, and cutting activities are handled according to set standards.
- Detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, and adjust and reprogram controls to meet the varying needs of the fabrication process.
- Ensure that the route card ID no. and ID no. on the Job card are the same.
- Dimensions like OD, ID, and length need to be checked on the total Job.
- On completion of the Job, daily production report to be filled on job to job basis immediately.
- Inspection report to be filled on job to job basis.
- Perform 100% check to ensure accuracy.
- Perform safety checks on every machine.
- Utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures.
- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
- Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment guidelines in the work performance.
- Any other related duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.
- Knowledge of Machining of tools.
- Basic Knowledge of Engineering drawings.
- Ability to interpret and amend the machining programs.
- Work under pressure with minimum supervision and meet tight deadlines.
- Sound knowledge in machine operating.
- English written & spoken skill will be added advantage.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to work in remote, isolated environments.
- Ability to work in hazardous and noisy conditions.
- Ability to work in enclosed spaces.
- Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment and/or power tools.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, or kneeling.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a team environment taking into consideration alternative and diverse perspectives.
- Ability to comprehend, remember, and follow directions and comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
