Resident Engineer - InfraRoad - Dubai

Job Summary The Resident Engineer will lead AECOM's construction supervision projects and act as the client's main point of contact advising on all engineering matters. Job Duties

• Leads the delivery (time, cost, quality) of assigned package.
• Supervise and manage the contractors to ensure the works are constructed as per specification and to established milestone dates.
• Manage and direct the supervision team to undertake day-to-day inspections of the works.
• Maintain a very high level of safety awareness and ensure the contractor complies with his obligations.
• Resolve site issues on site.
• Present progress and package issues to the client team.
• Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors.
• Responsible for following up on instructions & commitments associated with the project.
• Establish Project Execution Plan, Health & Safety Plan, Quality Control Plan, and other documents.
• Establish the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitor site staff performance.
• Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project and the site team.
• Assign responsibility to key subordinates in their respective fields of expertise.
• Provide input to performance reviews and develop plans for subordinates.
• Establish internal weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
• Represent the company in all client meetings.
• Perform various engineering works and project/construction management for the project in roads construction relevant.
• Review and check technical deliverables.
• Review construction programme specifications and cost estimates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering field (i.e., Civil, etc.).
• Engineering chartership will be advantageous.
• Understanding of Dubai Authorities.

Experience:

• A minimum of 15 years post-graduate experience in the design and site supervision of projects with a broad general engineering background.
• UAE experience required, especially in Dubai.
