Where you'll be working Digital Health Services, Central Coast Local Health District based at Gosford Hospital What you'll be doing The position of Systems Engineer exists within the Technical Services portfolio of the Digital Health Services Directorate of the Northern Sydney and Central Coast Local Health Districts (NSLHD and CCLHD). This position will be primarily based at a single site; however, it will require some travel to any sites within NSLHD and/or CCLHD. The primary site for this position will be agreed at the time of appointment and periodically as required with DHS Technical Services Management. The Systems Engineer provides technical specialism and expertise and acts as the second point of escalations for support issues. They will contribute in-depth to the technical activities that develop, support and maintain the DHS services of both LHDs and contribute to them operating at maximum availability. The incumbent may also, from time to time, be required to contribute to related projects such that they are delivered on time and in-line with the organisation’s business plan and within the operational and project budget. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Strong skills in complex server/application environments, conducting fault diagnosis tasks with an understanding of networking technologies and concepts.
- Detailed knowledge of configuration and implementation of enterprise-grade server and storage hardware/firmware and strong skills in design and implementation of associated monitoring and management systems.
- Strong skills across foundational technologies such as: server operating systems, virtualisation, Active Directory, MS SQL Server, antivirus, Citrix deployment, Cloud technologies and platforms, end-user mobility and knowledge of the operation of reporting and analysis tools to assist in fault diagnoses and resolution.
