We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Social Worker (Professionally Qualified) to join our team in CHO 7 CDNT 2 Ballyboden. Contract Type: This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. Contract Hours: 35 hours per week (1 WTE) Salary Scale: €49,581 to €65,674 per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments) Annual Leave Entitlement: 34 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.Overview of the Post:
To provide a quality, evidence-based social work service to children and young people aged 0 – 18 years and their families within an interdisciplinary and family-centred practice framework. The post holder will be required to support other staff and students as assigned.Overview of Duties & Responsibilities:

- Must be registered in the Social Work Register maintained by the Social Work Registration Board at CORU.
- Maintain live annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.
- Must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
- Must be eligible to work in the state.
- Valid driving licence for within the state/jurisdiction with access to own transport in order to deliver services across a large geographical area.
- Experience working with children with disabilities.
- Recent, relevant experience working with children and their families.
- Minimum of 1 year’s post qualification experience.
- Experience of Inter-disciplinary team working.
- Some years’ experience of working in the disability sector.
