Principal Petroleum Geologist

Minimum Requirements: Minimum 12 years working experience within Upstream Oil & Gas exploration sector at senior technical position. Age Limit: 45 Years Merit Last date to apply: 08-Mar-2024 Other Details: Expertise in petroleum system analysis and prospect evaluation including basin modeling, synthesis and interpretation of geological and geochemical data. Knowledge of geoscientific software will be an added qualification.

1. Undertaking the R&D program for oil & gas prospect evaluation for conventional as well as unconventional hydrocarbon resources in Pakistan.
2. Evaluate basin prospectively through conducting prioritized studies and research into critical uncertainties and new prospective areas.
3. Generate value added data through analysis of selected samples of wells across the sedimentary basins of Pakistan present in PETCORE.
4. Interpretation of geological and geochemical data and use of Basin Modeling tools.
5. Producing and presenting geological maps and report writing.
6. Liaison with upstream petroleum industry.

1. Post(s) are temporary and appointments would be on contract basis for PSDP funded project which can be terminated at any time during the life of the project.
2. Recruitment would be made on Standard Pay Package -2022 for the project employees.
